It’s road trip season, and there’s no better way to start your weekend adventure than by stocking up and fueling up at your local Ingles like this brand new store in Fletcher, North Carolina. And that’s the town we’re exploring today.

Halfway between Asheville and Hendersonville, Fletcher is packed with booming small businesses that are large on local. And today we’re checking out several that offer terrific treasures to seek out on your weekend wanderings.

Our first stop is The Garage on 25, and the attached All is Well Cafe, a fantastic, community-centric space for artists, makers, and customers alike.

Pick up a bakery item or a specialty drink from the family-run cafe and head into The Garage, a 12,000 square foot shopper’s delight. Featuring 80 talented vendors, including a bookshop and a vintage camper, both floors are filled with literally thousands of super-cool vintage and local products, as well as unique art. You can easily spend 2 hours in here, and you will be hard-pressed to leave empty-handed.

When you’re ready for lunch, you can refuel down the road at The Auction House, Fletcher’s hip food & drink hall located in, you guessed it, a revamped former auction house from 1948.

Amazing food and drink vendors share this space that welcomes guests with a warm, inviting vibe – along with live music, trivia nights, and more. In the mood for some Yucatán-inspired cuisine or a classic club to blow your mind? How about a fruity cocktail, or a pick-me-up latte? Whatever you choose, you are sure to find something to please your taste buds.

Thanks to those good eats, I’ve got my second wind…perfect timing for heading up the road to our last stop, Lulu’s Consignment Boutique.

Family-owned and operated for over 20 years, Lulu’s offers items for the entire family. With hundreds of pieces added daily, shoppers can find everything from bargain, high-end brands… to current trends…vintage collectables

…housewares…antiques….and even furniture.

So the next time you are looking for a little style, some fun flavors, or a great bargain….

make Fletcher, NC your day-out destination.
