Today we’re visiting a beautiful small mountain town that needs to be on your list for your next road trip or weekend getaway.  Great art, great food, the great outdoors.  It’s better than great… it’s Blowing Rock.

Tucked into the northwest corner of North Carolina, Blowing Rock is a town famous for its picturesque downtown – the real life Mitford from Jan Karon’s famous book series.  And today we’re taking in a handful of great stops to whet your appetite for more.

We’re starting things off at BRAHM – the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum. Time for some culture folks.

This beautiful 21,000 square foot museum boasts 10 galleries, five of which rotate exhibitions on a seasonal schedule.  In a town famous for its art scene, this museum curates, preserves, educates, and inspires.  And oh yeah – it’s free!  Definitely a must during your next visit.
