Today we’re experiencing the sparkling golden glow of a place famous for magic and whimsey… and mead. It’s time to sprinkle on a little fairy dust and fly to Fae Nectar.
Located in Lake Lure, North Carolina, Fae Nectar is reborn after a year’s worth of rebuilding following Hurricane Helene. And today the celebration is in full swing as they welcome visitors ready for medieval merriment.
From the moment you arrive you can sense that something magical awaits. The soaring mountains and wafting melodies beckon you to step into a Brigadoon-like fantasy of a time gone by.
Today the Manor is the home of the Southern Highland Craft Guild, featuring handmade wares by hundreds of regional artists. The gorgeous works are displayed throughout the first floor. And once you have experienced these incredible creations wrought by humans… it’s time to enjoy the creation wrought by mother nature.
This place is a living storybook of craft, celebration, and community.
Here they blend ancient tradition with modern imagination, brewing small-batch mead with honey, heart, and a touch of fae magic.
Mead is one of the world’s oldest alcoholic beverages – predating wine and beer – dating back to around 20,000 BC. What’s old is new again here at Fae Nectar.
And the house specialties are perfectly complimented by the delights of the Tavern Menu. With delicious mead flavors like Hibiscus Elderberry and Amburwood, these libations are the ideal ingredient to fuel an evening of fun.
And fun is the perfect word for a visit to Fae Nectar. From sea shanty singalongs (say that five times fast) to Celtic sessions to legendary fantasy events this place is a Renaissance Festival on the daily. And it’s awesome.
Whether you’re basking in the glow of the Medieval Tavern, celebrating at the grand stage of the Great Hall, roaming the Festival Field, or just taking in the magic of the mountains beyond, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into another realm filled with friends and festivity.
So, raise a horn to a revitalized community, dance a little jig, and enjoy the fun and frivolity of fairy magic here at Fae Nectar.
