When the colder months are upon us, and we’re in search of fun ways to enjoy the outdoors, sometimes you have to lean into the cooler climate and try out an activity that’ll have you feeling like a kid again, no matter what age you are. Today – we’re tubing!

Welcome to Black Bear Snow Tubing. Located in the heart of apple country and surrounded by sleeping orchards, this place is the very essence of enjoyment on a crisp winter day.

Black Bear Snow Tubing has been around for over a decade. Today 3 generations of the Haynes family keep the operation gliding along smoothly, with a couple great activities to complement the downhill delights.

This is something we haven’t tried before on the show – R/C Crawlers! This is so fun. Here, they’ve created an entire course for these mini monsters to navigate with two hands on the joystick.

Another fantastic activity to check out while you’re here is the hay ride – all the way up to the top of Poplar Mountain (3,400 feet in elevation) – where beautiful mountain views await.

And speaking of mountains – it’s time to hit the slopes! Here their state of the art snow making equipment makes (get this) real snow. The run is 600 feet long – 2 football fields! And when you reach the bottom, the cable tugger offers its own fun as you’re pulled back up the hillside to do it all again.

Shooting down a hill on a blanket of snow is something everyone should enjoy. But with Mother Nature’s snow sometimes in short supply, these folks have found a way for us all to enjoy the shriek-inducing delights of a downhill dash – regardless of snowfall.

Black Bear Tubing is a fantastic destination to get out and enjoy the fun of the winter season. From the beautiful lodge to RC crawlers to hayrides to terrific tubing, it’s time to plan your trip for a memorable outing.
